Tomorrow, Thursday, June 1, is the last day to register a student for Vernon ISD Summer School. Registration will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Vernon Middle School Office. Before students were dismissed for the 2022-23 school year, parents received a letter if summer school was being recommended for their child. The letter included a QR code so parents could register online. If you no longer have the letter, or no way to access the QR code, you can go to the VMS Office tomorrow and register your child.

The 4th Grade Awards Assembly was held Thursday morning and Alexandria Cox received a TV for earning the Most Improved 4th Grade Student for the 2022-23 school year honor. At the start of each school year, 4th graders take a test covering reading, writing and math, and at the end of the school year they take the same test, which shows their improvement during the school year. Alexandria improved her score the most between her score on the test at the start of the year, and her score on the test at the end of the year.
